If you are game for some local spicy food, we do recommend our local spicy coconut noodle soup, also known as Laksa. The highlight for this dish is in its thick broth brewed from spices, dried shrimp and coconut milk, topped with ingredients such as cockles, prawns, hard boiled egg and fishcake. Some vendors offer a selection of noodles but we prefer the traditional thick vermicelli as these tend to soak up the goodness of the broth. Laksa is best eaten on a rainy day as a comfort food.
