Rent an #SGinsider Tour

Here’s your chance to Rent an #SGinsider to bring you on an exclusive tour to visit the residential area of Singapore and discover hidden stories of traditional and modern community living. Embark on this tour to the Tanjong Pagar neighbourhood and be told of stories behind iconic housing styles such as The Pinnacle@Duxton, Everton Park and Peranakan terraces. Guests who book the Stay Well Package get priority access!

Rent an #SGinsider is part of our year-long Stay Well Campaign which aims to add value to guests by going beyond expectations and incorporating a personal touch.

Holding the record of the world’s tallest public housing building, longest sky garden and the tallest public-housing project in Singapore, The Pinnacle@Duxton is a winning design by two local architectural firms in Singapore. Completed in 2009, it consists of 7 blocks of 50-storey buildings linked by two sky bridges. Enjoy the impressive panoramic view of various Singapore iconic areas like Sentosa Island, Chinatown and Tanjong Pagar at its sky bridge located on the 50th floor.

Must-see: While in this neighbourhood, look out for a unique shophouse unit that buys junk and sells antiques!

One of the earliest public housing built to overcome the housing crisis in Singapore after Independence, Everton Park is a 50-year-old HDB (Housing Development Board) neighbourhood estate. Get an insight into the life of local Singaporeans by visiting the long-established shops or explore the many local brands and unique cafes situated amidst the old-school HDB setting. At the end of Everton Park, you will be greeted to a little secret unknown to many Singaporeans.

Must-eat: If you have time, visit the famous local confectionery at Block 1 Everton and sink your teeth into their traditional handmade Ang Ku-Kueh (bean-paste snack) which is loved by locals.

Home to some of Singapore’s stunning shophouses, heritage sites and delightful food outlets, Bukit Pasoh Road is the closest definition to old meets new and makes the perfect Insta-worthy background! Built from 1840s to mid-1900s, shophouses are one of the earliest housing options in Singapore. Ornamented with decorative wall tiles and exquisite carvings adapted from the various cultures in Singapore, these shophouses are a sight to behold.

Must-do: Find the perfect spot to capture traditional and modern housing architecture all in a photo!
